Saurashtra Solid Industries Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated with a vision to be the leader in manufacturing and exporting Calcium Carbonate. At present the company is the top supplier of high quality Calcium Carbonate in domestic as well as international market. We give high emphasis on the quality of our products.

The company is manufacturing different grades of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate to suit the requirement of different industries including Detergent, Tooth Paste, Rubber, Building Material, Paint, Ink, Pharmaceuticals etc.

Recently the company has developed Extra Pure grade to suit the requirements of British Pharmacopoeia and United Stated Pharmacopoeia with purity of more than 99.5% on dry basis and Extra Fine grade to suit the requirements of Paper Industry and Paint Industry in the international market with average particle size of 2 to 3 microns.

At present the company is manufacturing 1500MT Calcium Carbonate per month and employing 100 employees out of which 18 are skilled workers. With a strong R & D Division the company is able to match requirements of any industry. The company also offers any customized grade to suit requirement of any industry.

The company has a strong infrastructure with a land of 19859 Sq. Meter. Of land on Padra Jambusar Road, around 35 Km. away from Vadodara. The company has a separate administrative building, plant, workshop, store, warehouse at factory premises.

The office of the company is located at the prime commercial area of Vadodara at Sayajigunj.
Introduction of the Directors:

Mr. Harish T. Thanki (Chairman)

An M. Sc. Chemistry with 27 years of sound experience of Salt Technology, Soda Ash Technology, Magnesium Carbonate Technology and Precipitated Calcium Carbonate Technology qualifies him to be the best man of Quality Control and Product Up gradations / Development.
Who dreamed and actualized the production of Calcium Carbonate. The entire plant is self fabricated and the credit goes to him

Dr. Chandresh T. Thanki (Managing Director)

4 years of medical practice after doctorate could not satisfy the true soul of Business. He turned an Industrialist in 1993 with the venture of Saurashtra Solid Chemtech Pvt. Ltd. to manufacture Magnesium Carbonate. In 1999 the major decision to shift the plant to Vadodara took place where he became Managing Director of Saurashtra Solid Industries Pvt. Ltd.
Constant growth is his motto, his leadership and vision has brought the company where it is today. Under his management and guidance the company has entered into exports, today the company is exporting to Africa and SAARC countries.

Mr. Bharat Thanki (Director)
Started his career as a production supervisor, he has seen many different phases of life. Strong will power and love for learning are the bases to reach at this stage.
Though he does not participate in to the day to day activities of the company, his guidance helps the executives a lot. His knowledge of Finance Management is a great help to the Management Team. His core concentration is on his investments and portfolio advisory services.
For long, he successfully worked with a sister concern firm as Head of Production Department for manufacturing of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate.

Mr. L R. Joshi (NRI Director)

The NRI director left India couple of decades back, his love for motherland took him back to India and venture in India. His experience as a successful businessman gives vision to the company. It is not wrong to say that without his vision and guidance and support the company wouldn’t have been incorporated.
Not only the skills and experience of the directors but the level of understanding and team work of directors is a great strength of the company.
The Management Team:
The company is run by the hard core professionals. It is the policy of the company to depute highly qualified employees to get excellent results and over the years the company has got good results also.

Marketing Division:
Mr. Jitesh Kakkad (B. Com., MBA - Marketing)

Designation: Business Manager
An enthusiastic young man with 5 years experience of marketing is taking care of the marketing division. Taking initiative and setting higher targets for himself is his passion. He took initiative and started exports in some countries so far and planning to go major way for exports very soon.

Finance Division:
Mr. Vijay Paun (B. Com., ACA)

Designation: General Manager (Finance and Admin.)
A chartered Accountant with 2 years of pre qualification and 3 years of post qualification experience is looking after the finance and general administration of the company. His dedication to work and restlessness is amazing. His insight into the financial and taxation matters has put the company in a very strong financial position.

Production Division:
Mr. Paresh Joshi (MBA Materials Management)

Designation: Production Manager
Carrying with himself 8 years of work experience, Mr. Joshi has experience of working in different departments right from production to purchase and also towards maintenance. His qualification in Chemicals along with diversified work experience makes him to have a better understanding of the production and related activities.

R&D Division:
Dr. D. C. Parekh (P. Hd. – Chemistry)

He has worked with reputed companies after his doctorate in chemicals for around 13 years and then he started his consultancy. Research and Development is his patience since last two decades. Services from such a skilled person reflect company’s vision for future development. Finding a challenging job and lure for development made him to associate with Saurashtra Solid Industries Pvt. Ltd.
